Katy Hall, Facility Manager

Katy Hall graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2013, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion. Upon completing her undergraduate degree, she immediately began the Kinesiology graduate program at UW. She will be completing her Master’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Science, with an emphasis in Exercise and Sport Psychology in December of 2016. Katy is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is currently working towards becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, CSCS. While attending UW, she competed for five years for the cowgirl’s track and field team primarily as a 60–meter and 100–meter hurdler. During her time as a Cowgirl, she was able to achieve honors on the track and in the classroom as both a Mountain West All Conference team member and Mountain West Scholar Athlete. Katy is excited to be a part of Altitude Fitness because she has a profound passion for training and conditioning because of her own personal experiences and wants to share that with others. Her passion for athletics is what drives her to help others achieve their goals.

Alleece Braman, Assistant Manager

Alleece is originally from Green River, WY and moved to Laramie to continue her education at UW. She currently holds an Associate’s Degree in Biology and is working toward her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology & Health Promotion with a minor in Nutrition. Alleece is also an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and currently teaches “Ab Attack” classes at Altitude Fitness and Half Acre Gym. She is also FMS certified and has taught Fall Prevention classes at the Eppson Center. Alleece obviously has a true passion for health and fitness and her future plan is to obtain her PhD in either Exercise Science or Physical Therapy and conduct research. In her spare time, Alleece enjoys hiking, fly fishing, snowboarding, researching fad diets, and training new workout plan’s to see the body’s adaptations. Alleece is excited to be a part of Altitude Fitness because she enjoys meeting people who are passionate about health promotion.

Celsey Meyer, Assistant Manager

Celsey is from Hanna, WY and originally moved to Laramie for school. Celsey enjoys working out, fishing, hunting, and playing baseball. He is currently studying for a CPT exam and then plans to pursue his Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and obtain his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification. Celsey became a member of Altitude Fitness shortly after we opened and really enjoyed the staff and atmosphere, leading him to pursue becoming a part of our team. Celsey is excited to be working at “his gym” and sees it as a great opportunity to learn more about health and fitness.

Jorge Lopez

Jorge was born in Miami, Florida but was raised in Nicaragua, a small Central American country. He moved to Laramie with his fiancée who is getting her Ph.D. at UWyo. Jorge has a BA in international business but has found a different passion that he’d like to pursue as a career: firefighting. He is currently a volunteer firefighter with Albany County Fire District #1. Jorge’s ultimate goal is to become a handcrew hotshot. He used to practice tae kwon do, loves sports, especially soccer, and going on hikes with his dogs. Jorge enjoys working at this gym and being surrounded by people with the same passion for fitness that he has.

Lauren Koehler

Lauren, originally from Denver, came to Laramie to pursue a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering with a minor in business.  She has a passion for fitness and the outdoors, and she enjoys hiking, camping and skiing. She is also training to compete in a future NPC figure competition.  After she graduates, she hopes to get a career in the oilfield. Lauren is excited to join the AF team because “I’ve had a passion for fitness and health for about 2 years and I’m excited to be surrounded by like-minded people trying to better themselves, and push their limits.”

Marten Baur

Marten is strength and conditioning coach with a passion for Olympic Weightlifting and optimizing human biomechanics. He is a certified personal trainer through the American Counsel of Exercise and has received certifications ranging from CrossFit level 1 trainer, USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach, and Bioforce Certified Conditioning Coach. He has also completed a 100 hour internship with USA Weightlifting Hall of Fame Coach Bob Takano, gaining a deeper understanding of the classical lifts, strength training, and program design. Marten’s interest in pain-free movement and performance optimization shows through his programming and coaching style. Originally from Lander, Wyoming, Marten moved to Laramie to pursue higher education. He is currently finishing two Bachelor’s degrees in Kinesiology and Physiology at the University of Wyoming. After graduation, he hopes to continue his education at physical therapy school. Marten is excited to teach what he is passionate about, and is proud to be a part of the Altitude Fitness team. He enjoys the opportunity to impact the health of the Laramie community and learn more about himself in the process. He enjoys outdoor activities (backpacking, mountain biking, climbing, mountaineering), playing music, and training for weightlifting competitions.
